London Borough of Harrow, Harrow Primary Care Trust and Pertemps.The three bodies have combined to launch a co-ordinated market for the area.
Objectives for launch
The Council and PCT are keen to make service delivery more responsive
to resident's needs. Both also see it as a priority to help individuals
who want to work but can't fit a job into their life commitments. The
local Slivers marketplace will allow them to sell their spare hours
around those commitments.
Current status
First transactions: April 2009
Currently managers in both the Council and PCT are being consulted to identify the departments which have an immediate need for the early stage market.
