We do Market Research for a variety of organisations. There;'s a database of interviewees we get our subjects from. On this particular project we were commissioned to do 500 face-to-face interviews and quoted a rate of £12,000.Normally we would complete the project by contracting two researchers for 3 months and diarying people to come and be interviewed.

Instead we inducted a pool of 55 Slivers-of-Time sellers in how to do the interview and complete the form.  From that point on we just booked a seller whenever we had someone willing to be interviewed. The sellers nearest to the appropriate interviewee would be booked to meet them at a convenient public space.

In the end we did double the number of projected interviews for 75% of the budget. We had Slivers workers inputting the data for an hour each morning so reporting was immediate. And at the end of the project we had 55 local people with a new skill. There is a new model here.
